Technical Designer and Procurement Specialist (Fit-out)

Job Summary

W2W is a leading specialist sub-contractor and sole provider of Optima glazed partitions, atria glazing systems and glazed firescreens & doors to the Irish market. With the majority of our business from repeat clients, we are currently working on the most prestigious fit-out projects in the country.

We are currently recruiting for the role of Technical designer and Procurement specialist in our partitions division.

This diverse role spans multiple disciplines & provides support for our Project and Contracts managers as well as assisting architects & contractors on the specification of Optima products. The successful candidate will be joining an established team of 8 with an excellent learning & development structure.

The role is office based in our head office in Baldonnell business park in Dublin 22 & will require some travelling to sites and Architectural practices.

Responsibilities & Duties

The successful candidate will primarily be responsible for assisting the technical support team in compiling BC(A)R submittals; drafting submittal, scope of works & detailed drawings; procurement of materials for projects & providing technical advice for Architects, main contractors & W2W site staff.

Reporting directly to the department manager, the successful candidate will need to be comfortable using technology & have the willingness & ability to become a subject matter expert in our products.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Third level qualification in a relevant/related discipline
  • AutoCad / Revit (architectural detailing experience preferable)
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Excellent computer / IT skills generally
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • High level of motivation
  • Good understanding of the construction industry
  • Ability to work under pressure & meet tight deadlines
  • Ability to work well in a team environment, maintaining a pleasant, professional attitude.

This is a full-time role within a very successful and progressive company with lots of scope for advancement. Remuneration will be dependent on experience.
